Mission Advertise

Well this weekend I've been busy trying to advertise my book and get stores to stock it.

Below shows the attempts I made as well as the current situation with them;

1) I have approached my local newspaper 'The Wolverhampton Chronicle' and they currently have a copy of the book as well as the press release:- they should be getting back to me and hopefully it'll mean I will get an article in the paper.

2)I approached my local 'Waterstones' and they too have had a copy of the book and press release:- the manager is supposed to be discussing the book with the person who runs their horror section and are also getting back to me and hopefully they will agree to stock it.

3)I've wrote a letter to the head office of 'Forbidden Planet' two weeks ago but hadn't heard anything from them. So earlier today I rang them and learnt my letter hadn't arrrived yet so I've e-mailed the letter and press release I'd sent previously and got a reply saying they would have a look and get back to me so again they may hopefully agree to stock it.

4)I approached a goth shop in Wolverhampton and enquired wherether they would be interested in stocking it and they have had a copy of the book and the press release and intend to see if their customers would like to buy my kind of book.

i've also approched'The Works' and 'WH Smith' but these two I'm having to write to head offices so will take awhile longer.
